The brief
The manufacturing process for wood chips is a complex and advanced technology that is difficult to overview. It is not possible to access and see details of the process in a clear and secure manner. Holmen's request was to visualise this process - both for visitors and employees.
The solution
CG Station built a 3D model of the machine line and simplified parts of it to get a clear overview of the process. With one visit in the factory, expert interviews and with own photo documentation, this could be implemented by building models in 3Ds Max and animating the entire process from log to chip.
